ACCENT TOOLS LTD WARRANTY POLICY & PROCEDURE – APEX TOOL GROUP PRODUCTS

Apex Tool Group Tools are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship.

Accent Tools Ltd warrants to each original customer that such Products are, at the time of delivery to the Customer, free of material and workmanship defects, provided that no warranty is made with respect to:

(a) any Product which has been modified, disassembled and/or reassembled or altered in any way or improperly installed;

(b) any Product which has, in Accent Tools’ judgment, been subject to negligence, misuse, abuse, accident, improper storage or damage during shipment;

(c) any Product which has not been operated and maintained in accordance with normal practice and in conformity with recommendations and published specifications of Apex; and

(d) any Products which have been serviced or repaired by anyone other than an Authorized Service Agent of Accent Tools Ltd or modified by anyone other than Apex or Accent Tools Ltd. Normal wear and tear is also excluded.

 

Product Exceptions to the Standard Limited Lifetime Warranty:

Tool Boxes, Standard Chucks and Accessories, Bits, Bit Sockets Torque Products.

Soldering and De-Soldering Products are warranted only for one (1) year from date of Buyer acceptance. Accuracy standards for calibration on Torque Products are warranted for 90 days from date of buyer acceptance. Laser levels are warranted for a period of up to 5 years, depending on the product. Refer User Manual for details. Carrying cases, pouches, accessory bits and consumable products are not covered by this warranty. Product meeting warranty criteria will be repaired, replaced, or the distributors account credited subject to Accent Tools Ltd’s sole discretion.

These warranties set forth herein are the sole warranties applicable to Products and is in lieu of all other warranties, whether expressed, implied or statutory. The implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are specifically excluded.

Remedies: Customer’s sole and exclusive remedy for breach of this Warranty is, at the option of Accent Tools Ltd, repair, replacement, or account credit of the defective product.

Damage caused by abuse, improper use or excessive wear is not covered by warranty.

Items that have been subjected to normal wear & tear and have come to the end of their expected life are not covered by this warranty.

Where an item has been identified by a distributor or end user/consumer to be a potential warranty claim, Accent Tools Ltd will, provided it is satisfied that the defect is due to an inherent defect of faulty material or bad workmanship, credit, repair or replace the defective goods or part thereof.

The process required for warranty claims by Distributors is as follows:

1.1 Contact needs to be made to Accent Tools Ltd Customer Service Department requesting a Warranty claim. warranty@accent-tools.co.nz

1.2 The following information needs to be provided by the Distributor in order for a Warranty Claim to proceed:

1.2.1 Proof of Purchase in the form of Invoice or receipt, clearly identifying the item sold and the date of the transaction

1.2.2 Name, Address, and contact phone number of the end user

1.2.3 Photographic evidence clearly showing the fault claimed with the product.

1.3 The product needs to be put aside for inspection by an Accent Tools Ltd representative at their earliest availability.

1.4 Once inspected by an Accent representative and satisfied that the claim is within Apex Tool Group warranty guidelines, the product will be credited, repaired, or replaced at the sole discretion of Accent Tools Ltd.

Second Hand, Parallel Imported, or product sold by non-authorised Accent Tools Ltd Distributors are specifically excluded from this warranty.
